While an old boiler doesn’t mean you can’t sell your home, it can pull down the sale price a little or put off some boilers. On the other hand, replacing that boiler with a new, energy efficient one can make the house sale smoother and may even mean you can increase the price you are selling your home for, recouping some of the cost of the new boiler.
Being able to show an A+ rated boiler in your home and a heating system that is efficient and effective can be a key part of selling your home. So while an old boiler won’t stop you selling your home it can cause problems and is definitely worth considering replacing before the time of the sale comes along.
